And people wonder why I am worried about this election.

Why not consider fraud instead of purged voters? If they do not belong there.Thye do not belong there.
Why should the state prove you belong on the voters list? Why do we protect fraud?

If they did not belong there, then we wouldn’t be having this conversation. The problem is that because of mismatches in the computer system (which may or may not be the result of deliberate tampering), the people being purged *are* registered voting citizens who were born in the United States and are now being asked to prove their citizenship before they can vote. What college student who was born in the US has a way to prove their citizenship without flying home first? That’s the point – keep people from voting.
